Chamber Partners with United Way to Promote Small Business Saturday

Thirteen local businesses signed up and agreed to donate 5 percent of proceeds to the United Way of Northern New
Mexico’s Community Action Fund. Held on November 30, Small Business Saturday is meant to be the local antidote
to Black Friday shopping. Additional businesses, such as Pet Pangaea, also took part, but chose to donate to the Friends of the Shelter. Several business owners reported having a very good day of sales- near record-setting in several
cases.
