The Chamber and LACDC’s Business Assistance Services partnered up to host four workshops for employers around
the topic of the Health Care Reform Act’s impact on employers and tools for employers to find health insurance for their employees in New Mexico. Nearly 60 people attended one of the informative sessions, where they learned about the Small Business Health Options Program for employers.
Small employers have a lot to consider when deciding whether to offer health insurance to their employees- what level of insurance to offer, what percentage of the costs to cover, how many of their employees qualify for assistance, whether they qualify for a business tax credit, and several other choices. The Chamber and LACDC’s Business Assistance services can help point you in the direction of resources.
